President Hollande: Attack on Paris market an “anti-Semitic” act

French President Francois Hollande on Friday spoke of a lethal Assault on a kosher market in Paris as an “anti-Semitic act” and advised France to remain “implacable” in the face of racism.

His feedback got here after a gunman recognized as Amedy Coulibaly stormed the market in jap Paris, taking a variety of people hostage and killing four folks.

In a chilling telephone interview with a reporter from a local tv station, Coulibaly reportedly mentioned he had chosen the kosher retailer as a result of he used to be “focused on Jews.”

Coulibaly was later killed as French safety forces raided the market. Authorities were nonetheless on the lookout for a lady who had been identified as his wife, Hayat Boumeddiene, Through Friday night.

On Friday the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked Hollande By Way Of cellphone to tighten security at Jewish institutions.
