Cops in Melbourne, Florida, arrested one among two women on Saturday who had regarded in photographs that confirmed them sitting on sea turtles. Florida’s Marine Turtle Protection Act restricts the disturbance, molestation or harassment of sea turtles, which might be a protected species under the federal Endangered Species Act of 1973.
Stephanie Marie Moore, 20, was once taken to Brevard County Prison when officers were responding to a home disturbance early on Saturday and came across Moore, who had an energetic felony warrant for the sea turtle incident, the Melbourne Police Division posted on its Fb page. Moore is being held on a $2,000 bond.
The Florida Fish and Natural World Conservation Fee had conducted a prison investigation after the photographs, which surfaced in July, sparked outrage.
The Images allegedly have been sent over Snapchat, and had a filter label that recommended they were taken at Melbourne Seaside, which is famous for its sea turtles. The images were later posted to Facebook, where individuals began noticing them — in an enormous method.
The Opposite lady in the photos has not been identified.
